Snow removal occurs seven days per week on an as needed basis. Removal consists of removing snow from parking lots, bus drives, perimeter sidewalks, interior sidewalks, stairs, student drop-off areas, bus loading/unloading areas, hard surface playground areas, fire exits, entryways and loading docks. Removal should be completed before 5:00 AM the morning following accumulation of 3 or more inches. 

Snow on walks, paths, stairs, and exits must not be allowed to accumulate greater than three (3) inches.  Driving lanes will be kept open in a manner that does not pile snow around vehicles.

City sidewalks will be cleared of snow within 24 hours after snowfall has ended regardless of snowfall amount.

Sand & Salt

Sanding and salting of parking lots, sidewalks and asphalt play areas are done as needed or on request. Turf areas will not be salted.
