Welcome to the Saint Paul Public Schools Facilities Department Employee Recognition Program.
Congratulations to the first ever winners of the Facilities Department Formal Recognition Award for 1st quarter 2011-2012, painters Brian Kobilka and Bob Doane!
Brian & Bob repainted the lobby for the Community Based PSD program. After completing the painting, they went above and beyond by setting up a morning and an afternoon program to show the students what is involved in becoming a painter. It was a great example of hands on vocational training experience for the students.
Great job gentlemen!
The idea of this program is to allow employees or the community to show appreciation to a SPPS facilities employee. This reminds employees how our efforts demonstrate our Performance Measures, SPPS values, and Departmental Key Performance Indicators.
There are two ways to recognize someone, informally or formally.
The informal recognition program is designed to say "thank you" or "job well done” to an employee. Complete the online form and an email message will be sent to the person. Or, complete the Certificate of Appreciation, found at one of the stations around the facilities office, and give the certificate to the person.
The formal recognition program allows employees to nominate fellow employees or teams that go "above and beyond" demonstrating our KPIs, SPPS values or Performance Measures and rewarding efforts significantly beyond what is expected. Complete a form on paper (link below) or online. Recipients will be selected on a quarterly basis and recognized at a Departmental Meeting. A traveling trophy will be given.
