Furniture & Move Shop Mission Statement
To provide all SPPS stakeholders with furniture, equipment, supplies, and services to help them meet and surpass our educational goals.
SPPS Furniture Goals
ü To improve student achievement across the board.
ü To respond accordingly to any furniture related concern so that SPPS stakeholders have more time to focus on education issues and therefore much less time on furniture issues.
ü To supply furniture at the lowest possible cost to SPPS stakeholders.
ü To supply furniture where it is needed the most to maximize the usage of current SPPS furniture resources.
ü To extend the useful life of all SPPS furniture assets.
ü To salvage usable parts for furniture repair or modification and to reduce replacement costs.
ü To recycle unusable or damaged furniture resources to help reduce SPPS solid waste disposal costs.
ü To provide relocation service and support for SPPS schools or programs seeking assistance in transferring furniture or equipment.
ü To seek, receive, process, and distribute donated furniture where it can have the greatest impact on student achievement.
